Recognize your unwellness to acknowledge others' unwellness
“As a supervisor, you need to model prioritizing yourself for your team…When I invest in me, I invest in my team,” says Sonia. As self-identifying Queer Chicana, married, and associate dean of student affairs and director of residence life with 20 years of work experience, Sonia shares a personal experience where she recognized her unwellness. That self-awareness guides supervising her team with and through their unwellness.
